In the lush fields of Tequila, Jalisco, where vibrant flowers bloom under the golden Mexican sun, seven women met while working at a family-run flower farm. Amidst the scent of fresh roses and the rhythm of their daily labor, they discovered a shared passion—not just for the beauty of flowers, but for the soulful sounds of mariachi that played in the background of their lives.
Between tying bouquets and tending to the fields, they would hum old rancheras, strum guitars during breaks, and dream of bringing a bold, feminine energy to mariachi music. What started as casual jam sessions after work quickly became something bigger—Las Rosas Bravas was born.
Their name, meaning “The Wild Roses,” reflects both their origins and their spirit—rooted in tradition but fearless in their artistry. The group consists of Mariana “Mari” Velázquez on violin, Camila “Cami” Torres on trumpet, Isabela “Isa” Mendoza on vihuela, Sofía “Sofi” Castillo on guitar, Gabriela “Gabi” Ramírez on guitarrón, Elena “Eli” Navarro on trumpet, and Valeria “Vale” Ortega on violin.
From local flower markets and town fiestas to international stages, Las Rosas Bravas have taken their music beyond the fields where they first met, blending classic rancheras, corridos, and boleros with original compositions that celebrate the strength, passion, and resilience of women. Their performances are filled with fire, elegance, and an unbreakable bond, proving that mariachi is not just tradition—it’s a force of nature.
