Lune Manouche is a Parisian trio born from an unexpected meeting at a local chess club. What started as a shared love for strategy soon turned into a deeper connection through music. Inspired by the legendary Django Reinhardt and the rich tradition of Jazz Manouche, they took to the streets of Paris, bringing their vibrant sound to cafés, underground venues, and late-night gatherings along the Seine.
The trio consists of Antoine “Toni” Morel on lead guitar, a virtuoso known for his lightning-fast runs and soulful phrasing; Baptiste “Bap” Leroy on drums and percussion, whose rhythmic energy drives the band’s unmistakable swing; and Lucien “Lulu” Marchand on upright bass, providing deep, walking grooves that anchor their dynamic sound.
Lune Manouche blends the timeless swing of Manouche jazz with their own modern touch, performing a mix of Django-inspired standards, original compositions, and fresh reinterpretations of classic tunes. Their performances are raw, expressive, and filled with the spirit of Paris—equal parts nostalgia and rebellion.
From the cobblestone streets of Montmartre to the city’s underground jazz clubs, Luna Manouche captures the essence of a bygone era while bringing a fresh, contemporary energy to the genre.
